D21 Fit Studio is a private personal training studio on the Main-Dempster Mile in Evanston. Dietrich, the owner, and his staff of elite trainers are committed to helping others not only reach their fitness goals but also establish a sustainable healthy lifestyle with both exercise and nutrition.
In this day and age, it is very hard to steer away from processed foods or products because they are very abundant as they are cheaper to mass produce. It is also very hard to know what and how much exercise is good as there are so many different opinions and techniques out there. We teach our clients that healthy doesn’t have to be hard. Here are a few tips we give our clients when taking the first few steps towards a healthier lifestyle:
Stick to whole foods that are going to FUEL and ENERGIZE your body
Create an exercise regime that you find enjoyable and easy to follow. If you hate running, try biking or resistance training.
Be mindful of portion sizes and always eat carbohydrates, fats and protein with each meal.
Try eating within a 10-12 hour window as your metabolizing enzymes only function for so long each day.
Make sure you are properly hydrated; drinking half your bodyweight in ounces of water per day.
Start with 2 workouts a week and slowly increase.
Try new things like group classes, yoga, barre, cycling, resistance training etc.
Start taking the stairs or walking rather than the elevator or a cab.
Those are a few simple things you can begin to incorporate into your daily life. After a while, usually 21 days (hence D21) a habit will begin to form and it will be easier to stick to everyday. You want to continue to remind yourself that it is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix. It is time to shift our thinking from “I want to lose weight” to “I want to be as healthy as possible.” For more information about our personal training studio or tips from our blog, you can visit our website HERE! https://d21.fit/
